Mechanical Restoration
We bring back the precision and comfort of your bandoneon's action. Every part, restored with artisanal care.
Learn About the ProcessThe Restoration Process
A meticulous seven-step process that transforms your bandoneon's action

Opening and Disassembly
We open the bandoneon, setting aside the covers and bellows to focus on the action. We remove the hammers, detaching leathers, keys and pads. Throughout the process we carefully record where each part goes, so that after cleaning and restoration it returns to its original place.

Removing Components
We remove all the springs, tijeritas and stops that will be replaced with new ones. We clean every part: hammers, pads and table. This takes patience and precision to avoid damaging the original parts.

Crack Repair
If there are cracks, we repair and reinforce them: this fixes air leaks and improves the instrument's compression. Bandoneons often arrive with broken parts; in that case we replace them with new parts of the highest quality.

Fitting Leathers and Joints
We fit leathers to the base of the pads and glue the joints that connect the pads to the hammer. Every leather is carefully chosen to ensure the best possible seal.

Spring Calibration
We replace the springs and calibrate the weight of each one. This calibration is essential for an even, comfortable response when playing, preventing hand fatigue.

Keyboard Leveling
We fit the keyboard, leveling the keys so they sit evenly and harmoniously and feel pleasant to the touch. Good leveling noticeably improves the playing experience.

Final Stop Adjustment
Finally, we fit the stops so every key has an even travel. This makes playing feel more comfortable, without overloading the hand.
